Album was entirely written by Kim Carnes and Carnes’ husband Dave Ellingson. 3) “Emotion” is a 1984 album by Barbra Streisand and track 14 is the top-10 hit single included in that LP. Please check out Lee’s contributions to Ms. Streisand’s work here: bassroutes.blogspot.com/2011/04/barbra-streisand.html. 4) “Save The Dancer” is a 1978 album by Gene Cotton and track 15 is the top-20 hit single included in that LP. 5) Track 15 is a new version of same song already included in the 1975 “Kim Carnes” album (see album entry above and single entry below). 6) According to web sources, track 3 is the re-recorded single version of a song originally included in the Japan-only Kim Carnes CD album “Checkin’ Out The Ghosts”. 7) Track number is not specified for all of the tech credits. Notes: 1) This is a promo single by Kim Carnes released in 1975. Alternate catalog #s are 12012-S for the stereo mix and 12012 for the mono mix. 2) Song was taken from the album “Kim Carnes” (see entry above). In between, the “damn that ol’ dream” bridge has been done away with as well. A further difference between the two versions lies in the “Honey you’re a bad seed” ad-lib of the coda, which is repeated fully six times on the single edit version and eight times on the LP version before total fade-out.

A job well done, lads! // Big hugs to Charlie Wright // Big love to my mom and dad // To Fee Waybill: we've been writing together for nearly a decade (!) Your talent is endless. Your friendship is a treasure; but what I love most about you is that you're so much older than me. // To Bruce Gaitsch: what can I say that we haven't faxed each other already? You're the best! // My gratitude to all the fine musicians and singers who appear on this album. // Thank you, Wally Traugott, for your ears and wisdom. // Beyond the call of duty: Randy Jackson and Jonathan Moffett // Luther Vandross: if you ever get tired of your voice, would you give it to me? Thank you, my friend, for once again lending your support, humor and enthusiasm. // Vince Gill: “Boy, you've got a real purty mouth!” Thank you for singing with me and for the laughs in the studio. Your success is so well deserved. // Lionel Richie: you are such a class act. Thank you for 11 years of cheerleading that has meant a lot to me. // All my love to Cynthia, Brandon, Lucas and Jesse.
